Wolves use body language in order to express the happy or mad feeling. Tails can be used in this way. Sound is used as an act towards howling, growling, etc.
Body Language + Sound
Howls are used as often as water. Howls can be used to call pack members or be a warning towards others. It can also be a warning sign that something has gone wrong. And not surprisingly, they're used to bless the moon.
Wolves can be nice to people, but it depends. A large wolf pack without pups are probably going to be the nicest. They have more wolves, so they're not afraid of facing one or two humans. Though, wolves are still very precise, cautious, and very dangerous

Usually two to eight wolves are in a pack. The two alphas or parents are usually in it, their pups or newborns, and maybe a few extra wolves to guard.
Wolves appear in the night as to look for food. Though, sometimes when pups are involved, the pair of wolves must hunt in the day.
