- Loss of remineralisation potential from saliva - Diet of soft sticky foods - Often frequent sipping of sugary drinks - Sucking sweets

- Reduce the amount and frequency of sugar in foods/drinks - Avoid snacking on soft sticky foods - Sip only water to relieve symptoms - Avoid sucking sweets (erosive risk even if sugar free) - Avoid spicy and acidic foods that may irritate mucosa - Reduce alcohol intake to reduce dehydration

- Importance of excellent OH to reduce risk of dental disease - Brush two times daily with fluoride t/paste 1500ppm - Consider use of high fluoride t/paste - SLS free t/paste - Spit don't rinse - Fluoride m/wash 225ppm as adjunt - Recommend fluoride varnish application - smoking cessation - Regular dental visits
