In July 1921 Hitler replaced Drexler as leader and he changed the name of the party to National Socialist German Workers Party.
In 1919 Anton Drexler founded the German Workers Party in Munich, Bavaria. It was a right-wing, nationalistic party which stressed the ideal of a pure German people.
