Vardy- FWD fails to fully explain the existence of NE as God should be able to control it.

God could have created us to freely choose good.

Are we truly free? We are all born with sin therefore could not choose not to sin.

It does seem that only way to have true free will is to have choice of evil.

Kierkegaard- need free will or not genuine. (Parable)

Amount of suffering= uncessary

Swinburne- The 'Beneficial Laws of Nature' could explain existence of NE- unfortunate side effect of having laws of nature.

D.Z Phillips- never justifiable to hurt someone to help them.
