PRIOR TO PARTICIPANT ARRIVAL -- Put the following events in order, including corrugator: Assume you prepare the tape, then the sensors.

Click and drag
Prepare 3 pieces of masking tape and 3 pieces of medical tape
Click start and navigate to the folder you just created, but do not click “Select Folder”
Create a new folder for the participant
Open My Experiments and navigate to the study’s folder
Open the .gtl file for the study
Participant arrival
Click on MP150 and select Manual Control
Log into Biopac computer
Pull out three SCL sensors, two EKG sensors, two alcohol prep pads, baby wipes
Turn on Biopac strip
Put paper collars on three corrugator leads
Check the box next to Read Continuously for Channels 8 through 15, close dialogue box

Click and drag
Fill first corrugator lead with gel
Tape corrugator lead to the back of the chair using masking tape
Peel off paper collar of second corrugator lead and place 1 cm up and to the right
Place one piece of medical tape over both corrugator leads
Connect the black SCL wires to the sensors: middle wire to the neck, outside wires to the fingers
Fill second corrugator lead with gel
Ask the participant which hand is dominant
Tell participant you will be using an alcohol swab to clean above their left eyebrow
Tape EKG lead to the back of the chair using masking tape
Clean the area under each of the collarbones with an alcohol prep pad
Tape SCL lead to the back of the chair using masking tape
Secure each finger sensor with medical tape
Connect the white EKG wire to the right sensor, connect the red EKG wire to the left sensor
Press Select folder and right click. Select “Autoscale Waveforms”
Peel off paper collar of first corrugator lead and place above left eyebrow
Use a butterfly clip to secure the wire to the participant’s hair
Wait for fingertips to dry
Place one rectangular SCL sensor around the tip of each of the cleaned fingers
Tell the participant that you will be exiting the booth and take gloves off
Place one round EKG sensor under each of their collarbones
Add second corrugator wire to the butterfly clip
Clean above the participant’s left eyebrow with an alcohol swab
Check waves for clarity and correctness
Hand a baby wipe to the P and ask that they clean the tip of their middle and pointer finger on non-dominant hand
Tell the participant that you will be cleaning under their collar bones with an alcohol prep pad
Connect the corrugator wires to the grey lead, medial white into white dot, make double stuffed Oreo
Place one rectangular SCL sensor at the back of the participant’s neck

Wait for fingertips to dry

Place one rectangular SCL sensor around the tip of each of the cleaned fingers

Tell the participant that you will be exiting the booth and take gloves off

Place one round EKG sensor under each of their collarbones
