New Figures Show Health Field Continues to Grow

Jobs for RNs Top the Projected Openings

Jobs in health care will continue to grow faster than many others well into this new decade according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Don't hurry to pay someone to write a paper, read till the end.
Between 2018 and 2028, employment growth is projected to increase faster in the service-providing sector. Among the 30 occupations that will see the largest employment growth during this time period, registered nurses rank number one and home health aides rank second.

Personal and home care aides rank fifth. Nursing aides, orderlies and attendants rank ninth. Medical assistants and licensed practical and vocational nurses rank in the 20s and physicians and surgeons rank 28th.

    Fastest Growing Occupations

In a slightly different category, the top 30 occupations which will be among the fastest-growing during this time frame include many in the health/wellness field such as biomedical engineers, home health aides, personal and home care aides, medical scientists (who can write custom college papers), physician assistants, skin care specialists, athletic and fitness trainers, physical therapists and PT aides and assistants, dental hygienists and assistants, medical assistants, veterinarian technician and technologists, veterinarians, occupational therapists and OT aides and assistants, and pharmacy technicians.

    Health Care Tops Job Openings

Continuing the health field theme, in the 30 top occupations expected to have the largest number of job openings due to growth and the need to replace retiring workers during this time frame, registered nurses, home health aides, personal and home care aides, nursing aides, orderlies and attendants and licensed practical and vocational nurses all appear again.

    Shortage of Nurses

More than 3 million jobs are expected to be created in the health care industry during this decade. Nurses will see more job openings than any other profession and most will be for registered nurses. Whether or not this need can be met relies heavily upon the ability to educate enough nurses to meet this need. The shortage of nurse educators and lack of funding over the past decade to support the education of nurse educators has this situation in serious jeopardy of meeting the need.

The aging population increases the demand for more and better health care, which has been a predominant factor in the change from goods production to service-related industries as the fastest growing industries and occupation over the past decade. According to the custom essay writing service research, this trend will continue well into this present decade.
