Technology has changed and expanded drastically during the last five years. It pervaded into every possible niche be it business, education, real estate or any other. Smart-devices, no bigger than the palm of our hands, are standalone computer devices with which taking pictures, browsing internet, send emails and performing typical phone operations is a cinch. You may feel as if technology has finally reached its limits but is actually striding beyond imagine.

If we go back to around 20 years or so, personal computers started to land in small sizes and affordable for almost every family to buy. But that's just the beginning and technology since then showed no sign of slowing down or decline as every device available today is tied to computing by some means.

When you compare the original size of computers with present times, it's hard to comprehend how and why it happened but the smaller they get; more powerful and faster performance than ever. Since discussing the complete list of tech revolution in history can be considered infinite, few are worth mentioning so let's have a closer look.

    1. Communication

Internet lets you connect with friends, family and work mates anywhere around the world with just a simple click. We're open to a wide stream of communication mediums such as texts, A/V chats, email and social media. Each provides a unique and interactive experience as if one's sitting right besides you. You no longer need travelling to the post office, wait for your turn, draft the letter while it takes a week for plausible feedback. Long distance phone calls via landline are pointless ever since the evolution of finer alternatives like Skype, Viber, Tango, WhatsApp and various others with a free-call option.

    2. Intellectual automotive

Emergency calls and standard GPS monitoring features provide composure to both driver and passengers. There's no need to carry paper map even while you're travelling alone at night or exploring a desolate place for Google Map is your personal and handy travel guide! All you should do is install a Wi-Fi device in your transport, sync it with smartphone and ride peacefully. Meanwhile the concept of driverless cars may still be in its experimental stage but few companies have already integrated the technology, taking road trips on a new level.

However, like computers and other such devices, automated cars are also a target for cyber criminals who also became more devious with time. Imagine going to the beach while a hacker breach into the system core and divert the car towards a desolated area! You needn't worry about that for its unlikely to happen anytime soon since manufacturers have installed a fail-safe system.

    3. Fibre optics

This technology was originally established in 1840's by Babinet and Colladon. Fibre optic tubes are known to refract light within glass tubes and lose less light over the tube length. Alexander Graham Bell; in 1880s introduced a technology to relay voice signals over optical beam. When suffused, these fibre optic cables are impenetrable to static distortion that makes them excellent networking resources. It's a boosting factor for remote IT infrastructure and a fine addition to internet based technology.

    4. Solar Cells

Solar cells are capable to alter light into electrical energy that we know as a photovoltaic effect; originally demonstrated in 1839 by Becquerel. Survey results pinpoints that efficiency has increased to above 45 percent and a typical 5x5 foot solar cell when screwed to your house can certainly meet all energy needs.

    5. Graphene

Fashioned at the University of Manchester, UK; graphene is surely a game changer in tech industry. It's simply a sheet of graphite; one atom thick with amazing heat and electricity conductivity. It's also envisaged that the technology when introduced in mobile devices would make them far more powerful and supple!

    6. 3D Printing

We're in an age where 4K and quantum-dot technology is rising gradually but that doesn't mean neglecting 3D. Creating a 3D object in digital format is commonly exploited in instant pot mashed potatoes automobile and avionic industries surprisingly from 1980s. While the same technology is integrated in printers that allow you to produce nearly everything from simple teapots to sophisticated weaponry!

    7. Nano-Tech

Nanotechnology refers to manoeuvre of matter on molecular, atomic and supramolecular level. In general term, "Nano" means very small whereas nano-robots are scrolled down to the size of nanometre. This technology is widely used to identify cancer in a living body and execute nano surgery. Further augmentation allowed these tiny robots to enter human bloodstream for treatment of terminal cancer.

    Is it 100% Reliable?

Undoubtedly, technological advancement has transformed our lives entirely but all of it isn't always in a good way. Too many IT professionals are engaged 24/7 on strengthening internet while hackers and programming experts surface with new schemes to breakthrough privacy. End users in contrast are caught up amidst an endless clash while tracking these hackers becomes more challenging. This makes World Wide Web not 100 percent reliable but still remains on the verge of bringing an optimistic change.
